|
Dear Ladies and Gentleman
In 2025, we as a foundation for science and research continue to focus on vibrant scientific exchange and interdisciplinary impulses. Therefore, we invite you to the 5th Jung Symposium "Excellence in Human Medicine 2025" on May 16 in Hamburg and once again support the Blankenese Conferences, including two exciting Jung Lectures. You can read more about these formats below.
Also in this newsletter, we provide insight into our funding opportunities for young talents in medical research. Particularly gratifying: This year, the number of applications for our fellowships has doubled. The application phase ended on March 31 – we are currently reviewing the submitted documents. Furthermore, for eight years now, we have been supporting three dedicated students annually with Deutschlandstipendien and, since 2006, have been inviting young scientists to apply for our Jung Career Advancement Award. The current call for applications for 2026 is open until August 31. |

BLANKENESE CONFERENCES May 19 - 21, 2025, Hamburg
We are actively committed to promoting networking and interdisciplinary exchange – even beyond our science awards. Therefore, this year, we are supporting the renowned Blankenese Conferences for the second time, which have been bringing together leading scientists from around the world in Hamburg since 1979. From May 19 to 21, 2025, they offer a unique platform for intensive exchange in an inspiring atmosphere – exactly what the Jung Foundation aims to enable with its support. A special highlight is the participation of two outstanding scientists from the circle of Jung laureates, who will deliver the so-called Jung Lectures and present their groundbreaking research. More information can be found on the Homepage of the Blankenese Conferences. |

DEUTSCHLANDSTIPENDIEN
This year, the Jung Foundation is once again participating in the Deutschlandstipendium program at Universität Hamburg, supporting promising students of human medicine with monthly financial assistance. The official award ceremony took place in February 2025: Konstantin Matsui was delighted to receive renewed support, having been awarded the Deutschlandstipendium by the Jung Foundation for the first time last year. New to the Jung family this year are Leonie Maria Brink and Anna Bögemann (not pictured).
A warm welcome to the Jung family – we look forward to connecting and exchanging ideas with you.
